This is interesting: Trendy designer boutique Intermix has just announced its plans to open a location at the tony Brentwood Country Mart. You may recall that in January, Scoop revealed that its very first LA location would be at the Country Mart. Both are slated to debut sometime this month.
The chains are somewhat similar in focus, carrying a mix of designer merchandise from labels like Equipment, Iro, Missoni and Rag & Bone—though Scoop's mix skews a little more boho-casual while Intermix carries higher-end pieces from the likes of Viktor & Rolf and Thakoon. And while this is Scoop's first foray into the LA retail scene, Intermix is already established in Cali with locations in Malibu, Costa Mesa and on Robertson Boulevard (with Beverly Hills to open this spring). We wouldn't be surprised if Scoop were to follow suit.
