Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Tie-waist shorts, eyelet sundresses, easy slacks, and shell tops: Wren has officially defined the cool girl's summer uniform. Designed by Melissa Coker, the LA-based line's latest looks perfectly represent the chill vibe that the West Coast is known for, armed with a plethora of foolproof options for all the outdoor parties, picnics, and music fests on the horizon.

Similar to Wren's spring designs (which we got up close and personal with at TenOverSix a few weeks ago), summer is punctuated by an array of punchy prints that infuse a playful spirit into minimalist silhouettes. We're particularly fond of the blue and white ikat seen on shorts, pants, and three dress styles. The dip-dyed eyelet pieces are just as clever.

Feast your eyes on the lookbook gallery and snap up the collection when it hits store (and online) in May.
