American Apparel, the now-everywhere clothing brand known for its affordable and colorful basics, sexy advertising and controversial CEO, will celebrate its 15th birthday this Thursday. Fittingly, the celebration will be held downtown at AA's massive headquarters on Warehouse Street.
Per a release, state assemblymember Gil Cedillo, councilmembers José Huizar and Jan Perry and American Apparel chief manufacturer officer Marty Bailey will be on hand at 1:30pm for the ceremony, which will include a tour of the factory. Dov Charney will be elsewhere, it seems.
