It's here! Today Intermix officially opened the shiny new doors to their latest boutique, located at the Brentwood Country Mart. We got a sneak peek of the 2,000-square-foot style retreat yesterday—and it took every ounce of strength to resist the store's tempting superior inventory. Set within a wood-framed barn structure, the retailer played off the space's rustic vibe by incorporating smoked white oak flooring, blackened and antiqued metal fixtures, custom wood tables, and a weathered carpet. The transcending interior is complemented by an expertly-curated selection of vacation-ready merchandise from a mix of local, cult-favorite, and globally-celebrated designers.
Some of the in-store sartorial highlights include but are certainly not limited to: exclusive pastel J Brand jeans, devastatingly chic A.L.C. basics, It-worthy Mulberry satchels, Rag & Bone for Intermix white denim, amazing David Lerner leather asymmetrical leggings, cool Theyskens' Theory crotchet knits, killer Sergio Rossi platforms, timeless Missoni flats, buttery-soft Georgie jackets, NSF beach-happy tank tops, rad Enza Costa crop hoodies, breezy L'Agence viscose knit tanks, and the best selection of Equipment button-down shirts you've ever seen.
Intermix CEO and Founder Khajak Keledjian was on-hand to tell us a little more about the exciting new storefront, in which he revealed that the prime Brentwood Country Mart location almost didn't happen: "This specific space wasn't available at first, and I didn't want the store to be stuck in the alley or anywhere in the back. Luckily, we eventually received word that it was somehow available again, so we had to take it." As for Intermix's continuous LA expansion (they're set to open a Beverly Hills store next month), he explains: "Who doesn't love LA? The weather is great, there's lots of greenery, and there's so much to see. Next trip, I'm going to spend a week here just to sight-see and drive up the PCH."
