Kyle Fitzpatrick of LA, I'm Yours weighs in on the LAFW relevance conundrum—and he has some interesting opinions. Similar to fashion critic Robin Givhan's stance, Fitzpatrick thinks LA should bow out of the Fashion Week hoopla because "it would be really annoying to have to deal with that mess out here in addition to movie premieres, Dodger games, award shows, Carmageddon, and other city clogging affairs." However, if LAFW does continue, he urges local designers to "step it up, get proper eyes on your work, have some pride in what you are doing, and try to create something new." [LAIY; Previously]
