Any news is good news, right? Our sister site Racked National recently spoke over email with Uniqlo CEO Shin Odake and during the conversation, he confirmed that he was looking at Los Angeles, among other US cities, for new Uniqlo locations. (In November, we broke the news that Uniqlo was hiring out here for its manager-in-training program, a six-month commitment in Japan.)
Odake's exact words are as follows: "We are actively looking at several different markets in the US including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Washington DC, Boston, etc...Currently our strategy is to open large scale flagship locations, however in order to expand in the US we also need to open successful mall locations throughout." If it's malls he's looking for, we definitely have them.
