We never thought we'd say this, but we're ready to wear patchwork denim. Thanks to French fashion houses like Isabel Marant, Céline, and Chloé, the hippie-happy sewing technique of yore has been revived to appeal to the stylish masses—and we're feeling it. The latest brand to experiment with the throwback trend is LA's very own Genetic Denim.

During Genetic's fall 2012 showcase at PROJECT Las Vegas last month, buyers went nuts for their patchwork offerings, which were presented in the form of pants, jackets, and skirts. After taking a closer look at said styles in the brand's freshly-pressed fall lookbook today, we can confidently say that the look is worthy of exploring—in small doses.

If patchwork still isn't your thing, Genetic has 30 more denim options for you to choose from. Take a peek in the gallery and stay tuned for the collection's release date.
