That platinum blonde coif. Those unfiltered opinions. Don't we miss Taylor Jacobson? The LA-based stylist was a standout star on Bravo's The Rachel Zoe Project, known for being Zoe's attitude-bearing, all-black-wearing, style-dilemma-solving sidekick. Watching her temper unleash was a guilty pleasure of ours and seeing if she'd finally crack a smile for the hilariously charming Brad Goreski (Zoe's then-assistant) was worth tuning in for alone. Jacobson was good television, which is why we were super bummed when she and Zoe parted ways back in 2009.
After spending some time out of the spotlight to focus on her solo styling career, we're psyched that Jacobson has decided to grace our TVs once more to star in Oxygen's new reality show, LA Style, coming soon. To toast her return, she caught up with Racked LA to reveal her top fashion and beauty spots, favorite blogs, spring must-haves, and the one thing that she's afraid of.
Tell us a little more about LA Style:
It's a show portraying the professional and personal lives of the new generation of stylists. It follows me, along with three other stylists [Brett Alan Nelson, The Kids, and Ashley Zohar] during fashion week, awards season, and everything in between.
Where do you shop for hidden fashion treasures in LA?
I love Creatures of Comfort for fun little dresses, Coquette Atelier for super amazing vintage, and Kantor Gallery for vintage housewares and cool pop art pieces.
And for beauty?
I swear by Andy Lecompte for hair, Marie Nails for the best gel manicures ever, and Sandi Schroeder for the most plush eyelash extensions in the world!
What will be your go-to uniform this spring?
Definitely Beckley by Melissa's apron dress in navy blue. It's so cute and was designed by LA's Beckley Boutique owner, Melissa Richardson. She really needs to make it in more colors for me!
Adorable. Now, let's talk fashion blogs. Which ones do you frequent?
I'm an avid reader of Le Fashion, Because I'm Addicted, and Studded Hearts.
If you were only allowed to wear one label forever, which one would it be?
Oyyyy. Can't answer that! I love too, too many.
Last but not least, what is one thing that most people don't know about you?
I shower with my eyes closed because I'm scared of water.
