Five months ago, downtown blogger Brigham Yen took a trip to New York and asked the staff of Topshop when they'd be coming out to LA. At the time, a manager told Brigham that an LA Topshop would be in the works after a Vegas outpost. Today, WWD confirmed that Topshop will indeed be opening an LA location and that the British fast-fashion chain will be landing at The Grove.
The 25,000-square-foot store is slated to open in February 2013. According to the article, "Topshop and Topman will take over the space occupied for the past 10 years by Banana Republic, which will move to another, smaller location at The Grove." Based on sales of nearby retailers like Nordstrom, it's estimated that Topshop LA will make $35 million per year.
