Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The Wall Street Journal recently profiled Cupcakes and Cashmere blogger Emily Schuman, where she revealed that she turns down 95% of deals and freebies that are sent her way. She also talked about the difficulty of separating work and personal life again (she discussed this at the IFB conference) and that her three business rules are "Be nice to people, work hard and be proactive." This is already looking to be Schuman's year. [WSJ; Previously]
