Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Everyone knows George Kotsiopoulos' face. He's currently the co-host of Fashion Police where he discusses celebrity fashion alongside Joan Rivers, Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic. When he's not in front of the camera, he acts as the style director for C Magazine. Oh, and he's also a fashion consultant, having helped well-dressed ladies like Kerry Washington and Zooey Deschanel select their red carpet looks. Whenever he gets a chance to breathe (which seems like never), he likes to pop by Hernandez Appliance and Furniture, one of his favorite under-the-radar shops that he might want to re-think telling the world about.
"My secret shop is Hernandez Appliance and Furniture on Santa Monica near Vine. In the 90s, there used to be this awesome shop on Western near Beverly Blvd called Used Stuff and it was just jam-packed with a bunch of well, used stuff. But it was all really old and super inexpensive, which was perfect for people in their 20s who were too lazy to get to the Rose Bowl swap meet at the crack of dawn. I haven't been able to find a similar shop until I stumbled upon Hernandez Appliance and Furniture. While it doesn't have the quantity of my old haunt, it is nevertheless jam-packed with tons of goodies at great prices. I'm probably an idiot for giving this place any press because now the prices will go up but oh well, I'm a giver."
