Is LA fashion finally being taken seriously at New York Fashion Week? LA Times critic Booth Moore thinks that our city's industry has finally "come of age," citing Barbara Tfank, Rodarte, Band of Outsiders, Juan Carlos Obando, Skaist-Taylor and Corey Lynn Calter as examples. She writes, "In the pantheon of American fashion, Los Angeles designers are no longer a curiosity or lumped together into one sun-and-surf soaked category. They're celebrated and appreciated for their own distinctive points of view in the pages of Vogue magazine, on the red carpet and beyond." [LAT]
