Now that Barbara Tfank has shared the inspirational images for her upcoming New York Fashion Week show, another local talent wants to hook Racked LA readers up with a similar sneak peek. Corey Lynn Calter's whimsical designs are favored by stars like Jessica Alba, Krysten Ritter, Zooey Deschanel, and Elle Fanning. For her fall presentation titled "I See Light Far Away," the designer's mood board features a painting by abstract artist Kazimir Malevich, geometric shapes, and examples of color-blocking. CLC also revealed some design specifics:
"Early fall features tonal shades of coral, rust and dusty pink. The textures include lace, often laid over bright colors such as coral, then paired with taupe, rust colored felted wool and smooth printed stripes. Longhair angora striped cardigans layer into the looks and bird intarsia sweaters nod back to it’s matching print. The feature prints include a 15 color printed stripe done in shades of coral and red and a colorful blurry printed flower is softened by a taupe ground."
If you're heading to NYFW, be sure to catch her show at Pier 59 Studios next Wednesday, February 8.
