Founded by denim fanatics Barry Perlman and Gene Montesano (the originators of Lucky Brand and Jean Shop) in 2009, Civilianaire sells jeans made of Japanese selvedge that are constructed in a local Vernon factory. A little less than two years ago, the duo opened their flagship store on West 3rd Street. Since then, they've planted shops in Venice, Newport Beach and Montecito, and most recently, they opened a location on Melrose Avenue.

Rawr Denim had a look around Civilianaire Melrose during its official opening party earlier this month, and reports that the boutique is stocked with regular, slim and super slim styles for men and skinnies for women as well as tops, tees, jackets and accessories. Expect to shell out about $200 per pair.
