The Well is officially too cool for you, but don't let that deter you from checking it out anyway. The innovative new Downtown LA space combines shopping from local brands with hair styling, nail art and a photography studio.
The project is the brainchild of native Angeleno Jefferson Tangradi. Tangradi started as a hairstylist (there's a bobby pin tattoo on his forearm to commemorate it), and his work on photoshoots made him realize how useful it could be for clients to have hair, makeup, nails and photo space under the same roof. He brought in Alex Weidner as a business partner, and, later, Natalie Minerva of Nail Swag as head nail stylist. The result? A place where you can buy beauty products, get your hair done, score a new handbag, shoot a lookbook, get an insane gel manicure—all without having to move your car or walk a block. Whew.
