2012 has been good to South Coast Plaza. Not only will the popular OC shopping center reach 1.5 billion in sales this year (which we learned at their swank 45-year anniversary dinner in Bel Air), but luxe footwear and accessories purveyor Roger Vivier selected the OC shopping center for its colorful Cali flagship and SCP Nordstrom was one of the lucky few to land a Topshop-themed department. There's more.
Famed Italian luxury brand Fendi has just refurbished its South Coast Plaza boutique, complete with chic bells and whistles. Located on Level 1 near Macy's, the 2,800-square-foot space introduces Fendi's new "Palazzo" design concept, which is a nod to the brand's global headquarters in Rome, Italy.
Fendi's salute to its Roman heritage begins outside of the store, where vertical panels made of Roman Navona Travertine (an ancient stone) and back-lit artisan glass grace the exterior. Inside, shoppers are treated to enchanting wall displays and dedicated sections for handbags, ready-to-wear, fur, footwear (the shoe salon is a must-see) and accessories.
