To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Kat Burki's background may be in high-end residential interior design, but her business is a line of organic personal care and fragrance products inspired by her love of luxury and beautiful packaging. We asked the entrepreneur where she shops and she pointed us to this spot in Costa Mesa.

"Deer Lovely/Whiskey Tango is a fun duo to peruse. Although my husband and I do not dress 'vintage' or 'indie,' I love the creative mix and like to look for odds and ends to add to our collections. You can tell that the owners have great taste and give their customers many ideas as to how to mix their finds into their own homes/wardrobes. Plus, the prices are low and the assortment is always new."
