It's been an interesting few weeks for local brands. Following Forever 21's Nasty Gal mag dupe and Gap's Clare Vivier-"inspired" tote, Urban Outfitters has released a necklace that looks suspiciously similar to a TOMTOM Jewelry piece.
Designer Elena Coleman (who we chatted with back in July) Tweeted the news yesterday, adding, "Hey @urbanoutfitters, you already sell my jewelry in your stores. WHY knock me off?" See TOMTOM's version after the jump.

While UO made sure to change the pendant color of their Sliced Triangle Necklace, there's one major giveaway that TOMTOM's Future in Retrograde necklace was in mind when it was created: those gold ridges. What do you think?
Update: Urban Outfitters has pulled the product from their site and has issued an apology to TOMTOM, which Coleman partially reveals in the comments below.
