Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

DOWNTOWN—We're not sure if anyone can top The Grove's action-packed tree lighting bash, but L.A. Live is sure going to try. Tonight starting at 7pm, the DTLA entertainment complex is hosting a night of ice skating and music by Barry Manilow, Ozomatli, Cody Simpson and more. NBC will be broadcasting live at the show. Learn more here. [Racked Inbox]

SILVER LAKE—'Tis the season for pop-up shops. Mohawk General Store's holiday market opened two doors down from the boutique's main outpost at 4017 Sunset Blvd. The gift-friendly space offers unique items handmade in the USA from a host of brands, including Stan Bitters, Brook&Lyn, Lite & Cycle and Faribault Woolen Mills. Swing by now through January 5th from 11am to 7pm, and check out the opening party on November 29th. [Racked Inbox]
