Inside Beckley Boutique's Spacious, Spotless Digs on West 3rd

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

When Beckley left its iconic Melrose Avenue storefront in May, founder Melissa Akkaway promised that the shop would be back (and better than ever) very soon. She's totally delivered with the 2.0 version, which opened recently on West 3rd near Satine.

In contrast to the cozy interior of Akkaway's Melrose location, the West 3rd shop feels expansive and airy. White walls, lucite and steel fixturing and concrete floors give it a gallery-like aesthetic, all the better to show off its gorgeous goods. When Racked dropped by last week, we spotted adorable dresses by Opening Ceremony and Camilla and Marc, knits from 10 Crosby and Thakoon Addition, Iro and Cut 25 jackets, Hanky Panky lingerie, and plenty of great denim, boots, jewelry and of course, pieces from Beckley's on-trend house line.

Take a spin around the space with our gallery, above, and drop in to shop it from 11am to 7pm Monday through Saturday and noon to 6pm Sundays.
