Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Lesley McKenzie has been the editor in chief of Angeleno Magazine since February 2011. Owned by Modern Luxury and published monthly, the chic lifestyle mag has featured everyone from Megan Fox to Kate Beckinsale to Michelle Williams on its cover. McKenzie has spent most of her career working in the realm of city magazines—prior to her current gig she was the deputy editor of Los Angeles Confidential and the managing editor of Chicago's Michigan Avenue and DC's Capitol File. She currently lives in Venice with her boyfriend and their two dogs, but when she needs pet food or supplies she drives to this shop in West Hollywood.
"Healthy Spot on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood is my go-to pet boutique for our dogs Daisy and Oscar. All of their offerings are hand-picked for their quality and ingredients, and the selection of natural, raw and organic foods here is unrivalled. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and will go out of their way to answer any questions pertaining to your dog or cats' diet. You don't waste any time checking labels in here; they take the guesswork out of everything. Eco-friendly toys? Check. Adorable accessories? Check. Blueberry dog facials? Yup, they've even got those at the in-house grooming salon."
