Last night we stopped by MOCA's Geffen Contemporary downtown to customize tote bags and check out a motion-sensor video installation powered by Levi's and Intel's new "Friends of MOCA" campaign.
Similar to Brazilian artist Vik Muniz's showcase at the Levi's showroom earlier this month, a who's who of local art and fashion talents gathered to celebrate limited-edition T-shirts designed by a handful of notables. Actor Gael García Bernal, musician Santigold and artists Moriko Mori and Xu Bing have all created tees for the collection, which support arts education and can be purchased at Levi's Santa Monica (1409 3rd St Promenade), Levi's Malibu (3862 Cross Creek Rd), the MOCA Store (250 South Grand Ave) and MOCA's Geffen Contemporary (152 North Central Ave).
Tech savvy folks can also download the "Friends of MOCA" app at the mentioned stores and use an Intel-inspired Ultrabook to create "a personalized symbol that represents your visual identity."
