Echo Park streetwear boutique Backside is closing, reports The Eastsider LA. One of the owners, Tony Essa, said: "Financially, we found it increasingly difficult to find a balance month to month, which kept us from offering our customers a store that is consistently improving and staying ahead of the curve." The store will shutter next month; Backside's original location at 139 North San Fernando Boulevard in Burbank will remain open. [The Eastsider LA]
