To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Lisa Adams is the CEO of and designer for LA Closet Design, where she specializes in high-end closests and wardrobes. If her name rings a bell, that's because she recently debuted her own show on HGTV called Million Dollar Closets, taking cameras inside the wardrobes of famous folks like Kris and Kylie Jenner and Whitney Port. Here, she lets us in on her favorite spot in Venice for candles, blankets and more.

"My shopping gem is Firefly on Abbot Kinney Blvd in Venice. This is one of my go-to one-stop shop spots for unique art and architecture books, letterpress stationary, candles, gift cards and kids' clothing. This store is Jonathan Adler-meets-DwellStudio: whimsical with modern elements and handmade/made in the US—a plus for me! As a designer, I have found many closet treasures at Firefly, from candles to handmade blankets to wall hooks. I can spend hours here, and It doesn't hurt that the beach is a stone's throw away."
