"I've noticed that people in LA don't dress up much," says Parisa Fowles. "With MAXFOWLES, hopefully our designs inspire everyone to step out of their comfort zone and adopt a more polished look." That was precisely the case at yesterday's charming preview at the Chateau Marmont, which had journalists swapping their skinnies for silky slacks by the end of the night.
Parisa and her husband Max Fowles showcased a variety of spring 2013 looks that kicked their "chic meets cool" aesthetic up a notch by mixing ultra-sophisticated cuts with creative color-play. Crowd-pleasers included a vivid watercolor blazer and pant combo, a red-hot pleated skirt, button-down blouses for days and a buttery leather skirt with gold hardware.
