Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Born and raised in Malibu and currently residing in the bohemian enclave of Topanga Canyon, Emily Cadenhead is the senior designer at Planet Blue and is responsible for the brand's in-house lines Blu Moon and Blue Life. A vintage lover at heart, Emily let us in on her favorite spot for pre-loved treasures right near her home.

"Hillbilly Hip in Topanga Canyon is my favorite vintage store in Los Angeles. They have an unbelievable selection of hard-to-find vintage pieces that range from the 1800's to 1990's and are in the price point of $1 to $250. You can find a Victorian lace wedding dress or a leather fringe motorcycle jacket from the 1960's. I have bought some of my favorite pieces in my vintage collection from there including a 1920's yellow hand-painted silk bias slip dress. I also purchased a cashmere sweater I wear all winter long for $1. As a designer, I find most of my inspiration from vintage and this spot has a plethora of inspiration for me."
