For an area that basically functions as the hub of the LA fashion design world, Downtown has a surprising lack of retail options. The opening of The Well may help to fill the void a bit. The store, which Brigham Yen reports will open next month, will carry men's and womenswear from an array of Cali-friendly labels like Clover Canyon, Mishka, THVM and Tovar. Founders Jefferson Tangradi and Alex Weidner's plans extend beyond a basic boutique, though: They plan to host events, art shows and concerts at the space, and it will also be home to a hair and nail salon.
