Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Jocelyn Mayer is the owner and CEO of Revolve Textiles INC, a leading contemporary textile company located in the heart of Downtown LA's Fashion District. Jocelyn designs and creates printed silks, knits and laces and counts among her clients Alice + Olivia, Rebecca Minkoff, Anthropologie and Myne. When she isn't traveling, working, or on a beach cruiser in Santa Monica with her one-year-old son West and husband Randy, you'll find her in Eggy.
"Eggy is the hottest little children's store and this mommy's secret fashion weapon. I get stopped and asked where I find West's clothes everywhere and Eggy is my secret. I really never thought one day I would find more satisfaction in buying my son clothes over my own?but it happened. This store carries the clothes we all want to wear but in tiny sizes for kids. For girls they have amazing boho dresses, for boys and girls they have skinny jeans, and they carry labels you can only find when you cross oceans. Nothing in Eggy is generic. I am not generic and West is definitely not generic—this is why I am obsessed with this store. The bell on the cottage-style door rings as you walk in, and right away your breath gets taken away with style."
