Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Andrés Rigal is an event producer in Los Angeles who currently runs Mr. Black Tuesdays at Bardot Hollywood, The Mess Around Wednesdays in Downtown LA and Rasputin: Russian Love Machine every Saturday in West Hollywood. Before his nightlife persona took shape, he spent a two years at CAA (Creative Artists Agency), where he oversaw live musical tours for acts like Lenny Kravitz, Green Day, Katy Perry, John Legend, and Depeche Mode. When he wants to get his inner interior designer swag on, Rigal heads over to MidCenturyLA, a North Hollywood shop where there's never a shortage of vintage Danish furniture.
"My name is Andres Rigal and I'm addicted to mid-century modern furniture. There, I said it, I feel better already. If you find yourself struggling with this same problem then block out a few hours from your day and venture deep in the valley to MidCenturyLA, a 12,000-square-foot magical warehouse filled to the brim with gorgeous Danish, Swedish, Dutch, English, and other European mid-century modern furniture, lighting, rugs, and design. Every piece is characterized by interesting, unique, accessible and clean design—refinished, reupholstered, repaired, and ready to enter your new home. David and Jeannie (who are both ridiculously unpretentious and extremely knowledgeable) will not only spend a lot of time finding the right pieces for you but they will also work with your budget so you can fill your home with pieces that will make your friends green with envy. Oh and did I mention they have the largest collection of sideboards in the US? Seriously, run don't walk."
