Elizabeth Daniels, 9/11

Beverly Hills threw the ultimate Fashion's Night Out blockparty: more than 15,000 fashion fans partied on Rodeo, Wilshire and the surround streets. All in all, more than 100 shops pitched in to make it one of the better FNO celebrations in LA. Lanvin threw a dance party, bebe sponsored full makeovers, Chanel caused a mini-riot with the debut of three new nail colors, and everyone from Fendi to Juicy opened their doors and did something special for the occasion.

Beyond the retail component, there was a rolling flotilla of gluttony: about 17 food trucks, including Coolhaus, Sprinkles Cupcakes, Fatburger and Knock Out Taco Truck. Add to that roaming Cirque du Soleil acrobats, a ferris wheel, and gorgeous end-of-summer weather, and you've got an event that raises the bar on the whole enterprise.
