Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
One of the staffers asked, and we really meant it when we answered we thought the pickings at this sale were superior to the last go-round. The bag selection wowed us, but the clothing inventory seemed deeper and more diverse than last time, too.
Designer was exceptionally well stocked. It wasn't exactly flush with Rodarte, but there were at least 25 pieces, including the Opening Ceremony collab. A few neon Christoper Kane pieces (and similar, lovely laser-cut Proenza skirts). Not a ton of Prada or Miu Miu, but a few pretty dresses. Speaking of pretty dresses, they were very well stocked with Isabel Toledo fanciness.
There was a full section of recent (and some not-so-recent) Phillip Lim. A few good pieces, but mostly utilitarian sweaters, jackets and tunics. And THE HORROR, a pair of quilted running shorts.
By the time we got to the Co-op and "as is" section, we were running short on time. But click through the gallery for full details.
Men, we're sorry, we've let you down. The clock was ticking; we managed to shoot some pix but we didn't get pricing on everything. Don't let that stop you. Go find out for yourself! The sale starts at 9am tomorrow.
