For those of us who have spent way too much time wondering whether jeggings are supposed to be treated more like pants or leggings in an outfit, it's time to stop stuffing our legs into unflattering denim sausage casings and embrace wide leg pants for spring and summer. Unlike the skinny jean, these swishy slacks are flattering on almost everyone (no matter what your mama gave ya) and floated down so many runways we had a hard time picking just three photos for this post. Explore colors and mixing prints, and don't be afraid to go extremely wide and billowing. The trick to pulling off this look is making sure the pants are fitted in the hips, cinching your natural waist with a belt (yes, that means approaching dangerous Mom Jean territory, but trust us on this) and pairing the pants with a fitted top that clearly shows you're not actually shaped like someone who has 18-inch cankles. Wear heels to make sure the hem doesn't drag the ground. And enjoy feeling that breeze below your knees.
