Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
It's deja vu all over again on Vermont in Los Feliz Village: first, quirky vintage/new sellers Oou left and were replaced by quirky vintage/new sellers Weltenbuerger. Then Pinkberry was replaced by Paradis, another purveyor of frosty treats. Next week, the former Atmosphere space will open as Co-op 28 Handmade and Indie Designs. Like its predecessor, Co-op 28 will put cool local and indie designers in the spotlight. But the new boutique will offer a much broader array of merchandise -- everything from wall art, rock posters, leather goods and pottery to baby stuff, bath and body, clothing and more. Talk about a quick change: we keep peeping in the window every time we walk by, and it looks like it's really happening. The big grand opening party is June 10.
