The Market at Santa Monica Place Opens Today

It's a fact: people eat. While shopping may not necessarily be as inevitable as death, taxes and eating, it's good that the folks at Santa Monica Place are opening something called The Market, a selection of merchants offering higher-end, artisanal food products. Not to be confused with the dining deck, though you certainly can get instant grub. The space isn't 100% occupied, but some of the merchants include Venokado wine shop, L'Artisan du Chocolat, N'Ice Cream, Cookie Guru, Röckenwagner Bakery, The Gourmandise School of Sweets and Savories and Community Kitchen, The Curious Palate, and Kings Road Cafe. The Market opens today at 10am, and if you're one of the first 500 people in line, you get a goodie bag.
