HOLLYWOOD—Space 15 Twenty is partying for a new popup: Input:Output, a "custom audio and curated lifestyle pop-up shop." What's really cool is that the store will feature audio components designed by musician/furniture designer Philip Sumner and Kevin Carney (founder of the Generic Man and Mohawk General Store), and it will be furnished with some of the gorgeous vintage pieces from Mohawk General Store. The party is this Friday, from 7pm to 11pm, with drinks, DJs (David Holmes and Eddie Ruscha, who we think is the son of favorite LA son Ed Ruscha) and more. 1520 N. Ivar [Racked Inbox]
LOS FELIZ—The man who's possibly the most famous label whore of our times (for reasons of farce, of course), Bret Easton Ellis, will be doing a reading and signing for the paperback release of his latest, Imperial Bedrooms. Besides being a terrifically entertaining writer with a great sense of style, BEE is actually pretty hilarious. It's this Thursday, 7:30pm. 1818 N. Vermont [Skylight Books]
FAIRFAX—Thursday, Filth Mart is holding their monthly open-air bazaar, featuring a unique collection of jewelry, leather goods, herbs and potions, pottery, and more. Come out for shopping and people watching par excellence, and stay from music by Wesley Herron and a live performance by Jenny 0. 7pm to 10pm. 1038 N. Fairfax [Racked Inbox]
