Creatures of Comfort's Trunk Show Ahead of the Trends

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Creatures of Comfort, purveyors of that indie, so-cool-without-having-to-work-at-it clothing, hosted a trunk show for two accessories brands who certainly fit in with the ethos: fancy unmentionables brand VPL and LD Tuttle shoes. VPL's latest still look like the kind of thing Barbarella would wear if she went to Equinox Fitness, and the LD Tuttle shoes offered more of what they do best: intriguing, mixed media designs with unique shapes and details that are challenging without being too fussy. Both lines are so completely individualistic and make you look stylish without being a trend-maven.

All kinds of ladies, gentlemen, and just a few adorable children made it out to ogle the merchandise, shop the store at 30% off (hey, we told you about it last week), enjoy treats and people-watch. You may have missed all the fun, but you can still get 15% the shoes (at least until Sunday).
