There is a Polar Bear Inside This WeHo Hair Salon

The fact that it's stuffed only makes it slightly less odd. But yes, the taxidermied bear sits front and center at Galvin Benjamin Salon.

The bear is part of a special collection of art and artifacts currently on display at the WeHo salon. This very definitely unique experience features an impressive roster of artists: Adam Wallacavage, Kime Buzzelli, Shepard Fairey, the Cobrasnake and Skullphone. The whole affair is curated by Sonja Teri, a pretty big name in the So. Cal street and underground art scene. And all of the pieces are for sale.

Art keeps popping up all over established and respected retail outposts -- for example. in addition to the current Lazy Sins of Spring exhibit at TenOverSix, a big (in size, volume, and notoriety) show is opening at Zero + Maria Cornejo (more on that later), EM & Co has long been a haven for known and emerging artists. True, these pieces may not help when you're looking to figure out a style, cut or color, but we'll take these over those bad, Patrick Nagel-inspired 80s illustrations any day.
