Thursday night, the Christian Louboutin boutique hosted a little style soiree with Brad Goreski. The idea was that guests could shop, drink champagne, and chat and get style pointers from Brad -- but most of the guests at the party were already incredibly well put together and uniquely styled. (And for the ones who weren't?well, it was too nice an evening to get in someone's face and be all, "Girl, WHO DID THIS TO YOU?" but there were only one or two of them.)
It was a broader cross-section of humanity than you might imagine -- though predominantly female, it was a mix of younger, older, Bel Air babes and East Side ladies. We even spotted a few prominent local celebrities and notables, like writer and provocateur Stan Kent and Nikki Monninger of Silversun Pickups.
There was very little of that "fashionably late" business -- the eager crowd started early and we took refuge upstairs in the VIP Bridal Room. Where, naturally, the talk turned to the Royal Wedding. We know a bunch of ladies who are going to be very tired today, since more than a few partygoers told us they'd be getting up at 1am to watch the wedding. Ouch. And while they left early, many more shoe-lovers stayed late and drank champagne to toast the real prince, Christian Louboutin.
