Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Despite the ubiquitous fashion press and marketing campaigns, the Go Greatest Hits collection didn't seem to move the needle for LA shoppers. We visited both the West Hollywood and Glendale Targets this week, and found the clearance racks stuffed with the frocks -- yes, even at 30% off these babies weren't going anywhere. It was pretty much all there, with a few exceptions: No Rodarte at all. Ditto for Tracy Feith. And that one Thakoon dress that smelled like gasoline was sold out, too. But there was plenty of Proenza, Libertine, Luella, Alice Temperley, and more. We're wondering if the lukewarm reception has anything to do with a practically non-existent spring. Up next: Calypso St. Barth, which is supposed to be all kinds of amazing.
