Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Spring is the season to make your mark, literally. Prints are in, from ditzy florals to bold graphics to tribal patterns and everything in between. Wear them head-to-toe, mix them, take a risk with them, we promise, almost anything goes for 2011. We're personally embracing floral maxi dresses with a bit of a bohemian vibe, especially since it's Coachella season. But don't be afraid to mix contrasting prints on the top and bottom, whether you're layering shirts or mixing a top with a skirt or pair of shorts. Look for common colors when mixing and matching, and try to pair big prints with smaller ones to keep from looking like a fashion disaster. Keep accessories neutral when clothing prints are wild, and you won't look like a kindergartner who was allowed to dress herself.
