Laser cutting, intricate weaving, and unusual treatment technologies are making for some visually interesting and supremely artful accessories this spring. Forget quilting and studs! Bottega Veneta is this trend's classic throwback, and spring traditionally beckons espadrilles and woven straw. New interpretations of such beautifully worked accessories include Givenchy's opulently lace-cut leather totes, Marni's punched shopping bags, Miu Miu's colorful weaves, Prada and Derek Lam's woven shoes, Chloe and Gucci's whipstitch details, and Mulberry and Phillip Lim's new canvas-feel textured leather satchels. More affordable options include Jas MB's messenger bag, Madewell's Silverlake sandal, Rebecca Minkoff's woven Rocker crossbody, Cole Haan's duffle (looks like Bottega!), Nine West's perforated oxfords, and Anthropologie's bevy of earthy-chic options. These accessories are a sure way to add a bit of textural heft to spring's super soft neutral palette.
