Rodarte designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy just did a gig as guest DJs on KCRW. The set is a little quirky, to be sure: there's Elvis and the Star Wars theme music, and the creepy Doors song The End, used to great effect in Apocalypse Now as the score to a montage of Charlie Sheen's dad's descent into batshit craziness. The Rodarte gals join good company: other designers who've "moonlighted" at KCRW include Stacey Bendet (Alice & Olivia), Scott Sternberg (Band of Outsiders), and Tarina Tarantino. [KCRW, Racked Inbox]
