Alternative Apparel Wants to be Known for More Than Just Tees

Alternative Apparel held a very informal, loosey-goosey presentation of their new Fall'11 goods at the Palihouse on Tuesday night. Though it's true -- or at least very informed opinion -- that they make some of the best tees you'll find on the market for that kind of money, the brand seems serious about branching out and making a reputation for the rest of its clothing. The individual pieces look basic enough, but you put them all together to get something of an upscale-lumberjack aesthetic. Overall, it reminded us a bit of both Ever and Joie -- which is not bad company to be in, at all. Musical entertainment for the evening including the hipster-stylings of the Silver Lake Chorus, and tunes spun by musician/actor/musician/DJ Donovan Leitch.
