Forever 21 X Rory Beca

Forever 21 just dropped another designer collab: their Rory Beca team-up landed in stores last week. Through F21 are relative newbies to the collab thing, the two they've done so far (Brian Lichtenberg and Petro Zillia) have been extremely well received. If you're a fan of the line, you'll be really pleasantly surprised. It's not, "If you squint and it's dark, it kind of looks like Rory Beca." It REALLY looks like Rory Beca.

With the Target collabs, older women (and by older, we mean over the age of 25) get all pissy because they think they'll be able to buy "Rodarte-lite" or "Zac Posen Junior" for a fraction of the cost of the real stuff. But it seems like the expectations are significantly lower with Forever 21. So far, each of these three Forever 21 collabs hits the sweet spot: just enough of the original line's DNA but with a distinctly F21 sensibility. And pricepoint. Maybe not the greatest thing since sliced bread, but if you have $25 and want a sundress that doesn't look like it came off some anonymous rack at Target, you could do a lot worse.
