Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
The folks at Racked NY didn't say it explicitly, but it's one of the salient suggestions ("don't assume because you're pregnant (or on crutches) that you have special line-cutting privileges") in their newly compiled Sample Sale Etiquette Guide. Other nuggets that seem totally obvious and common-sensible but apparently aren't: no kids, no hoarding, watch where you strip, pack light?and is it only California that needs the amendment "Don't bring your dogs to the sale"?
