Unconventional Work Wardrobes

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Our friends over at Racked National visited the offices of guilty-pleasure read xojane.com to document the staff's office style. Our favorite outfit description, of beauty and health editor Cat Marnell, reads in part: "Cat is wearing 'a fox fur that this bald exotic dancer my friend was dating traded me for a bottle of Adderall in 2007 (incidentally, I now think Adderall is the worst style choice of all),' a 'promotional vintage Dumb and Dumber T-shirt from the nineties,' 'a million plastic rosaries per usual and earrings that are exact Edie Sedgwick replicas,' and Hudson pants."
