BEVERLY GROVE—Always dreamed of owning a Birkin? Decades has a "beater Birkin" in stock and is asking half the going rate of new styles. From the Decades blog: "I would call this 35 cm Birkin a 'beater Birkin' and its around half the price of buying a brand new one as this one has been used and I would actually say the interior has been a bit abused, but 'in this economy' this Hermes treasure is a real steal." There's no price listed; contact the store at blog@decadesinc.com or 323-655-0223 for more info. [Decades Inc]
DOWNTOWN—Get very excited. Curbed, by way of The Hollywood Reporter, reports that LA's very own Ace Hotel will be opening in the United Artists building at 933 S. Broadway. News like this means that restuarants are also forthcoming, as are hip boutiques. The New York branch has an Opening Ceremony and a No. 8. What shops would you like to see open in the Ace Downtown?
