If the name Lamb & Flag sounds British to you, that's because this new clothing brand takes its moniker from a well-known English pub. Its roots, however, are in Los Angeles. The product of clothing company Kellwood (which also owns Rebecca Taylor, Vince and Blk Dnm), Lamb & Flag opened its first boutique at Brea Mall Friday.

Kellwood's bullish on the label, which is stocked with men's and women's clothes with a focus on denim. After Brea, they plan to open outposts in the new year at The Shops at Mission Viejo and Cerritos and then, according to Eric Hunter, Kellwood's chief marketing officer, will launch 20 to 30 more in 2013 "with the eventual goal of reaching 700 to 800 doors." In addition to Lamb & Flag offerings, the stores will carry pieces from other complimentary brands such as A.P.C, Nudie, Cheap Monday and RVCA.
