Lauren Conrad's Holiday Nails; Garance Dore Dancing

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

THE ANNALS OF NAIL ART—Jumping onto the nail art bandwagon is Lauren Conrad, who today shows us a new holiday look: a string of Christmas lights. The tools needed include "base & top coat, green & red polish (you can use any colors you want), white or off-white polish, cuticle nippers or small scissors, black cotton string, a small brush or pointed q-tip" and extremely calm hands. ONLINE—Street-style photographer Garance Doré comes off as pretty cool and relatable on her blog, but this new video takes it to the next level. In a clip for French brand Petit Bateau Doré dances the Madison around a restaurant. Just go watch it already. [Garance Doré]
