Women in L.A. really must hate washing and blow-drying their own hair. How else to explain the sudden and stunning rise of blow-dry bars? Next week brings the opening of Séchoir+ (pronounced "seh-shwahr"), a salon run by DryBar alum Nava Nabavi, at 1121 Montana Avenue in Santa Monica. In fact, according to the press release, "Nava was one of the original stylists hired at Dry Bar" in Brentwood.
The salon isn't a total Drybar replica, though. In addition to blowouts they'll offer also-trendy hair braiding, cuts, color, highlighting, balayage and extensions. Still, the wash and dry seems to be the main focus. Until the end of January, they're offering the service, with a scalp treatment, for $35. Call 310-310-8238 for bookings.
